    How do I hire a freelancer on Gig Marketplace? 

    To hire a freelancer, use the “Post a Gig” page or reach out to the freelancer directly by reviewing their profile and submitting an RFP on the “Hire a Freelancer” page. Once the freelancer reviews your post or RFP, they will respond with a project proposal for you to review if the project is within their skillset and capacity. 

    No, we do not have a minimum budget requirement. However, we encourage our freelancers to create their proposals that reflect fair compensation for their industry level skills, and they may refuse to submit a project proposal if your budget does not accurately reflect a fair budget for the services you’re requesting.  

    Each freelancer on Gig Marketplace has graduated from our Gig Lab program, Canada’s first and only business incubator for freelance entrepreneurs. Each freelancer must also have industry level skills to become a freelancer on Gig Marketplace. If you would like to learn more about a certain freelancer’s qualifications, skills, or experience, you can also visit their profile to review this information.  

    You and the freelancer will co-create payment terms together before the start of the project.
