Accessibility & feedback

The Gig Marketplace is committed to providing a website that is accessible and inclusive for everyone. We follow the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA to ensure our content and features can be accessed by all users, including those using assistive technologies. Our goal is to create a digital space that supports equal participation and opportunity for all.

What We’re Doing

To meet AODA and WCAG standards, we work to:
Use proper heading structure and descriptive link text
Maintain high color contrast between text and background
Provide alt text for meaningful images
Design forms and buttons that are keyboard accessible
Use clear, plain language throughout the site
Regularly test and update pages for accessibility compliance

Known Limitations

While we strive to make all parts of our website fully accessible, there may still be some barriers. These may include:
Older content or third-party tools that are not yet fully compliant
Occasional formatting or contrast issues on legacy pages
Contrast for some colours
We are actively reviewing these areas and working toward full compliance.
